Tilottama Sen’s stellar performance in the women’s 10m air rifle event is particularly noteworthy. Despite finishing sixth in the qualification round, she demonstrated exceptional skill in the final, ultimately securing the silver. Her achievement adds a significant feather to India’s cap.
Elavenil Valarivan’s third-place finish in the women’s 10m air rifle event and Nancy’s commendable seventh-place finish further contributed to India’s impressive showing.
In the mixed team skeet event, Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Darshna Rathore clinched a gold medal, exemplifying India’s prowess in the sport.
The Asian Shooting Championships serve as a critical platform for qualification into the Paris 2024 Olympics, offering a total of 24 Olympic quota places.
This event not only highlights the talent of Indian shooters but also underscores the nation’s potential for a stellar performance at the global stage. With 10 quota places secured, India’s shooting contingent is poised for a remarkable display at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
