In a pulsating display of talent and unwavering resolve, India’s squash teams have scripted a chapter of triumph at the Asian Games, securing coveted medals as they stormed into the semifinals.
The men’s contingent executed a masterful performance, dispatching Nepal with a flawless 3-0 victory in a pool showdown that left spectators in sheer admiration. Meanwhile, the women’s team engaged in an epic showdown, valiantly fighting against Malaysia, ultimately bowing out with a scoreline of 0-3 in their final pool B fixture.
Both Indian squads clinched the top two spots in their respective pools, clinching a guaranteed bronze and setting the stage for an exhilarating quest for gold.The day kicked off with the Indian women’s team facing an uphill battle. Seasoned campaigner Joshna Chinappa showcased unwavering grit but was ultimately bested by Subramaniam Sivasangari in a riveting contest that spanned 21 minutes, concluding with a score of 6-11, 2-11, 8-11.
In the following match, Tanvi Khanna embarked on a rollercoaster ride, surrendering a 2-1 lead to Commonwealth Games gold medallist Aifa Binti Azman. Their showdown was a spectacle of tenacity and skill, concluding at 9-11, 11-1, 7-11, 13-11, 11-5.

The second match witnessed Mahesh Mangaonkar’s masterclass, as he dismantled Arhant Keshar Simha with scores of 11-2, 11-3, 11-3.
Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu completed the thrilling whitewash with a dazzling performance, outclassing Amir Bhlon with a score of 11-1, 11-2, 11-6, in an astonishingly swift 12-minute match.
